We’ve always streamed energy data in official collaboration with OEMs and automakers.
It takes longer (years) and costs more to do it officially—integrating different OEM models, consolidating and streamlining diverse data sets. That’s why not everyone does it—many data providers take shortcuts and hack consumer apps. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s the only method to make sure the energy data we supply is reliable, secure, and streamed in real time. Businesses in energy and mobility need this to scale, optimize, and grow revenue.
We’re backed in our mission to establish authorized OEM integrations by Exor, a major stakeholder in Ferrari and Stellantis. And with over 27 direct integrations with OEMs (more than anyone else), we’re on track to building the biggest energy data platform ever.
Our brand partners include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Stellantis (the parent company of Citroën, Peugeot and more) and Volvo. We work with these world leaders to supply our customers data that’s streamed every second, with 99% of uptime on average.
As Rylan Ramakrishnan, Technical Account Manager at Ford says, "As the official data partner for automakers, a partnership with Volteras was a clear strategic choice. We're thrilled to work together to achieve our vision: building a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable transportation future."
Because of our track record of working with, not against automakers, we’re proud to be trusted by some of the industry’s biggest clean energy businesses.
Streaming data via authorized integrations makes all the difference.
Firstly, it’s legitimate, which means quality and reliability. Services that use unauthorized integrations rely on hacking OEM servers, and finding workarounds. As this is done without OEM permission, it can result in these services being shut down without warning. If this happens to a business relying on an unauthorized provider, there’s a high risk their customers will lose access to their devices or vehicles.
Secondly, authorized integrations guarantee a stable infrastructure for streaming, which means continuous streaming in real time—outages and delays almost never happen. Wide ranges of data—including hundreds of specific data points—can also travel faster, with information available up to every 5 seconds.
Our platform, powered by a high-performance API, aggregates, manages and streams high-quality data in real time. EVs can connect to the API seamlessly with just the vehicle identification number (VIN). This means fleet customers can connect thousands of vehicles at once, in a matter of seconds. No dongles required.
Security is paramount: data is encrypted and securely stored on the Volteras API, in accordance with OEM guidelines. The API is hosted on AWS, which has over 140 security and compliance certifications.
The platform also protects and manages the data it aggregates, standardizing formats and improving ease of use.
With a reliable stream of insights, businesses can focus on innovation and growing revenue. Fleet managers can focus on smart energy management, optimizing operational efficiency by enabling remote commands and improving customer experience. Energy suppliers can remotely control solar panels and heat pumps, and cut prices for consumers. EV marketplaces can sell EVs for higher prices with data-driven vehicle health certificates. These are just some of the ways real-time data drives any new or growing business powered by electric energy.
We’re thrilled to accelerate the energy transition with energy data you can bank on.
